MAX, THE FISHERMAN
What a great weekend to be in the mountains, ok, except for Saturday evening's thunderstorm.
I went up Thursday afternoon with Zoe and Tara ( a whole story in itself) and Gary, Max, Lacey and Paul came up on Friday evening
. Mary and Brandon came up Saturday late afternoon.
We had a birthday party and built two docks, Max caught his first fish ever (2 pounds, 17 1/2 inches). We rode bikes, roasted hot dogs (and Brandon's huge fish), and Paul made everyone SNOW CONES!

View from the Boat House. Yes, it WAS gorgeous.

Let's throw rocks off the dock.

Paige sure likes vacations.
This is Brandon and Paul floating the dock into place from the Boathouse. Kody is helping.

Grandpa's favorite sport; no, not fishing--it's spending time with his grandkids. In the background is the worksite for the docks. All three dodge pickups were there.

And finally, here is a tablefull of cuteness. We were having snacks and playing.

And finally, just a word to my kids and their spouses. It's hard to put into words my feelings without getting all sugary and sentimental but I want you to know that it meant alot to read and hear your thoughts on Mother's Day. You guys are really the best part of life and living! I'm so pleased that you're such fun adults too! Having my birthday just after Mother's Day kind of makes me feel awkward about all the attention and I tend to get cranky about it, sorry. My new camera is the absolute best gift you could have given me, THANKS SO MUCH to everyone who was in on the surprise! I love you all, Heather, Ben, Josh, Mary, Amy, Lacey and Jesse! And to my best friend and sweetheart, Gary, thanks for being there when I need you. You're my rock in the storms. I really am glad families can be together forever.
